The Dockerty Family Story

Don and Mary Dockerty began life with humble roots, shaped by parents who modeled a quiet but powerful truth: a life well lived is a life spent serving others. That legacy of compassion and generosity took deep root in their hearts and has continued to ripple through generations.
Through their work with seniors in long term care facilities, Don and Mary recognized a need for a different type of service: a space where seniors would be known, valued, and cared for as whole persons. Their desire was simple, to bring peace of mind to families and to create a place where residents could truly thrive.

With prayerful trust in God’s faithful provision, they stepped forward in faith and opened the first Woodland Terrace Assisted Living community in 1997. What began as a vision became a living testament to their faith, courage, and perseverance.
From the very beginning, Don and Mary believed that serving seniors meant caring deeply for everyone: residents, families, and team members alike. They cultivated a culture built on faith, teamwork, service, compassion, fun, and integrity.

Today, Don and Mary’s children, Tonya Margaritis, Todd Dockerty, and Tim Dockerty, continue that mission with the same devotion and heart, faithfully carrying forward the Dockerty family legacy.
